About San Joaquin County Special Education
San Joaquin County Special Education is dedicated to providing quality educational services to students with disabilities. The county is committed to meeting the individual needs of each student through a wide range of programs and services. Special Education staff works closely with parents, teachers, and other professionals to develop an Individualized Education Program (IEP) that is tailored to the student’s individual needs. San Joaquin County Special Education offers a variety of programs and services including Early Intervention, Speech and Language Services, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Adaptive Physical Education. These services are designed to help students reach their highest potential. Additionally, the county provides a wide range of support services for families, including parent education, advocacy, and referral services. San Joaquin County Special Education is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all students. The county works to ensure that all students receive an equitable and appropriate education that meets their individual needs.
