About River Islands Technology Academy
River Islands Technology Academy (RITA) is an innovative public charter school located in Lathrop, California. Founded in 2010, RITA is focused on developing students’ skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). The school offers a unique and rigorous academic program that combines traditional classroom instruction with project-based learning, digital literacy, and hands-on experiences.
RITA’s curriculum is designed to prepare students for college and career success. The school has a strong emphasis on problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration. Students are encouraged to explore their interests and develop their skills in the areas of computer science, engineering, robotics, and coding. In addition, RITA offers a variety of extracurricular activities and clubs, including robotics, coding, and engineering clubs.
