About Elkhorn

Elkhorn is a small, unincorporated community in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. The community is located about 25 miles south of Portland and is home to just over 1,000 residents. Elkhorn is a rural community with a small-town feel, and is known for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
The area has a rich history and was originally inhabited by the Kalapuya people. In the late 1800s, the first settlers arrived in Elkhorn and the area was quickly established as a farming community. Today, Elkhorn is still a popular farming area, but has also become a popular destination for outdoor recreation. The nearby Elkhorn Mountains offer some of the best hiking and camping in the Willamette Valley.
Elkhorn is also home to several wineries, and is a popular destination for wine tasting. The area is also known for its excellent fishing, with several rivers and lakes nearby. The community is also home to several small businesses, including restaurants, shops, and galleries.
Elkhorn is a great place to visit for those looking for a rural getaway. With its friendly atmosphere, beautiful scenery, and plenty of outdoor activities, Elkhorn is a great destination for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
