San Diego County Court is the judicial branch of the government in San Diego County, California. It is responsible for administering justice in the county and ensuring that the rights of all citizens are respected. The court handles a wide variety of cases, including civil, criminal, family law, juvenile, probate, and small claims. The court also hears appeals from lower courts and provides mediation services.
San Diego County Court is the largest trial court in California and the fifth busiest in the United States. It is comprised of 30 judges and serves over 3 million people. The court is divided into two divisions: the North County Division and the Central Division. The North County Division is located in Vista and serves the cities of Carlsbad, Encinitas, San Marcos, and Vista. The Central Division is located in downtown San Diego and serves the cities of Chula Vista, Coronado, El Cajon, Imperial Beach, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, National City, and San Diego.
The court is dedicated to providing access to justice for all citizens. It offers a variety of services, including self-help centers, online services, and a variety of programs that provide assistance to those who cannot afford legal representation. Additionally, the court strives to be an efficient and effective court system that is responsive to the needs of the community.
