About Marin County Special Education

Marin County Special Education provides a comprehensive array of services to students with disabilities in the county. The services provided include special education instruction, related services, assistive technology, and transition services. Special education instruction includes individualized instruction for students with disabilities, as well as instruction for students who are identified as gifted. Related services include speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and mental health services. Assistive technology is also available to students with disabilities to help them access the curriculum and participate in the classroom. Transition services are also available to help students with disabilities transition from school to life after graduation.
Marin County Special Education works with families and schools to ensure that students with disabilities receive the best possible education. The county also provides a variety of resources and supports to help families and schools understand the needs of students with disabilities. The county also works with outside agencies to provide additional services, such as respite care and recreational activities.
