About Environmental Charter High School

Environmental Charter High School (ECHS) is a public charter school located in Lawndale, California. It was founded in 1999 with the mission of providing a rigorous college-preparatory education focused on environmental stewardship and sustainability. The school has a unique approach to education, blending traditional academic studies with experiential learning and hands-on activities. ECHS offers a variety of courses that focus on environmental issues and sustainability. These include classes in environmental science, ecology, energy and resource management, and environmental policy. Students also have the opportunity to participate in field trips, internships, and service-learning projects. ECHS also has a strong commitment to community.
