About Downtown College Preparatory

Downtown College Preparatory is a charter school located in San Jose, California. Founded in 1999, the school serves over 500 students in grades 6-12. The school’s mission is to prepare all students for college and career success by providing a rigorous, college-preparatory education.
At Downtown College Preparatory, students are challenged to think critically and develop the skills they need to succeed in college and beyond. The school offers a rigorous academic curriculum that includes core classes in English, math, science, and social studies, as well as a variety of electives. Students also have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities such as sports, clubs, and community service projects.
