About Central Unified Alternative/opportunity
Central Unified Alternative/Opportunity (CUAO) is an innovative education program in the Central Unified School District that provides underserved students with access to a quality education. CUAO offers a rigorous and personalized learning experience that meets the needs of students who may not otherwise have access to a quality education. CUAO provides students with a variety of learning opportunities, including online courses, dual-enrollment courses, and career and technical education. Additionally, CUAO offers a variety of support services, such as academic counseling, tutoring, and mentorship. Through these services, CUAO strives to help students reach their full academic potential.
CUAO is committed to creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. The program works to provide students with the resources they need to succeed, such as access to technology, library resources, and career guidance. CUAO also strives to create a community of learners that celebrates diversity and encourages collaboration.
