About The Academies At Jonesboro High School
The Academies at Jonesboro High School are an innovative program designed to prepare students for college and career success. The Academies offer students the opportunity to explore their interests and develop skills in a specialized field of study. Through the Academies, students can earn college credit, gain hands-on experience, and develop skills in a chosen field.
The Academies offer a wide range of courses, including business, engineering, health sciences, and information technology. Each Academy focuses on a specific field of study and offers courses in that area. In addition to the courses, students can participate in internships and job shadowing opportunities to gain real-world experience.
The Academies also provide students with the opportunity to work on projects that demonstrate their knowledge and skills. Through these projects, students can develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills, while also learning how to collaborate with others.
