Elmer H. Cook Elementary School is a public elementary school in the Houston Independent School District. It is located in the heart of Houston’s Third Ward and serves students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade. The school is named after Elmer H. Cook, a prominent African-American educator and community leader in Houston. Elmer H.
