Great Hearts Academies is a network of tuition-free, open-enrollment charter schools providing a classical education to students in grades K-12. Founded in 2003, Great Hearts has grown to more than 40 schools across Arizona and Texas, serving over 23,000 students.
At Great Hearts, the goal is to develop virtuous citizens who are prepared to lead and serve in the world. The curriculum is focused on the liberal arts and sciences, and emphasizes the development of critical thinking and communication skills. Great Hearts also places a strong emphasis on character development, teaching students to be responsible citizens who are committed to the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.
Great Hearts students have access to a variety of extracurricular activities, including sports, clubs, and the Veritas Prep program, which provides college and career readiness guidance.
