About Petersburg High School
Petersburg High School is a public high school located in Petersburg, Virginia. It is part of the Petersburg City Public Schools system, and serves students in grades 9-12. Founded in 1892, Petersburg High School is one of the oldest high schools in the state of Virginia.
At Petersburg High School, students are offered a wide variety of educational opportunities. The school offers a comprehensive curriculum, including core classes in English, math, science, and social studies, as well as electives in art, music, theater, and foreign language. The school also offers Advanced Placement (AP) classes, which allow students to earn college credit while still in high school.
In addition to academics, Petersburg High School offers a variety of extracurricular activities and sports teams. The school has a marching band, a drama club, and several clubs devoted to various interests. The sports teams compete in the Virginia High School League, and the school has won several championships in various sports.
