Akiuk Memorial School is a remote K-12 school located in the small Inupiat Eskimo village of Akiuk, Alaska. Established in 1975, Akiuk Memorial School provides educational opportunities for the students of the village, with a focus on providing a culturally relevant curriculum that emphasizes traditional Inupiat values and language.
At Akiuk Memorial School, students are taught in both English and Inupiaq, the traditional language of the region. The school also offers a variety of extracurricular activities, such as basketball, volleyball, and fishing.
